Temporary Closure of Bequia Airport

The Bequia (James F. Mitchell) Airport will be closed for renovations from Friday‚ February 6th to Tuesday‚ February 17th‚ 2026.

Travel Arrangements‚ Passenger Support‚ and Assistance During Renovations

During this period‚ all SVG Air and Grenadine Airways flights scheduled to arrive at or depart from Bequia Airport are suspended.

Passengers are advised to check their flight status with their airline or travel agent for the most up-to-date information.

 

Alternative Travel Arrangements

Travelers flying to Bequia via SVG Air or Grenadine Airways will be accommodated

through St. Vincent. The 16:15 service from Barbados (BGI) will operate as a direct

flight to St. Vincent (SVD)‚ ensuring that passengers arrive in time to connect with

the evening ferry to Bequia. The approximate flying time for the BGI–SVD route is 45

minutes.

For guests arriving from Grenada‚ the scheduled arrival time in St. Vincent is 17:45

local time. These passengers can then connect with the 18:30 ferry service to

Bequia.

Please note that onward ground transportation and ferry arrangements are the

responsibility of the passenger‚ and associated taxi and ferry costs are not included

in the SVG Air ticket fare.

 

Routing and Scheduling Adjustments

Morning and midday flight services to the Grenadine Islands will be routed based on

passenger demand. St. Vincent (SVD) may or may not be the first stop on these

flights.

Ferry Service Coordination

The Admiral Ferry service  has adjusted its schedule and will now depart at 18:30

local time. This change allows all connecting passengers to reach Bequia on the

same evening following their flight to St. Vincent.

 

Flexible Ticketing Options

During the renovation period‚ passengers needing to transfer between midday and

evening flights will be accommodated at no extra charge‚ subject to seat availability.

Regular airport and departure taxes and fees remain applicable.

 

Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel your booking with SVG Air or Grenadine Airways during the

closure‚ standard cancellation fees as outlined in the fare rules will apply.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during these important

upgrades.
